Pudding Milkshake (No Ice Cream)

Sorry, this isn't the best picture. It was getting dark. We all need a little motivation sometimes. I asked the kids to pick up the house yesterday evening. They gave me that "do we have to?" look. When I offered to make milkshakes, they jumped up immediately and started cleaning. They hurried and put everything away. A little bribe motivation works well. The house was looking great! I went to the freezer to start whipping up milkshakes. But, there was a problem....no ice cream! Luckily, I remembered a recipe for a no-ice cream milkshake that I recently found online. We were still going to have milkshakes, Pudding Milkshakes. Recipe Link Ingredients 1 cup milk 1 cup frozen strawberries 2 1/2 cups Cool-Whip (or one small 8 oz. tub) 2-4 Tablespoons instant pudding*--I used Jell-O Strawberry Creme 1/2 to 1 cup ice Directions Put all ingredients in the blender. Pudding Muffins Create Your Own Flavor

It's been a little muffin cRazY around here lately. I had an idea for a *create your own muffin* recipe. I like having choices and playing with my food. With this muffin recipe, I did both! I got a little carried away trying different flavor combinations. My family didn't seem to mind since almost as soon as I baked these muffins, they were gone! But, by the fifth batch my husband did ask me to stop making muffins. :) So, I just made one more batch and now I'm done...I think. I'm writing down the basic muffin recipe, then you get to choose and create your own flavor. First, choose an instant pudding flavor, second choose a flavoring (extract) and third, choose a mix-in like chocolate chips, blueberries, raisins, craisins, other dried fruits, chopped nuts, peanut butter chips, and on and on.... Eggnog Cranberry Bread

It's been almost a month since I posted a new recipe. I've been enjoying time with my family and celebrating Thanksgiving. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, too! We ate lots of turkey and watched lots of football and holiday movies. We even put up our Christmas tree. We have absolutely no room in our little rental house for a Christmas tree, so we made a paper Christmas tree out of green glitter wrapping paper. We also made ornaments out of wrapping paper, too. My girls were actually really excited about making our paper tree. The positives of having a paper tree are that nothing is breakable and this is going to be so easy to take down after Christmas! :) This Christmas is going to be different since our Christmas decorations are all in storage while our new house is being built.
