Acorn Dough Nuts

My little girls and I made these Acorn Dough Nuts last weekend during our 'Girls Only Night.'  The boys were away at a cub scout camp-out.  While they were roughing it out in the wilderness, we stayed inside and watched plenty of princess movies, along with eating some yummy snacks, of course!

Ingredients (from Family Fun magazine)
Chocolate Frosting or Peanut Butter
Donuts
Crumbled Toffee
Pretzel
Directions
Frost a third or so of a plain or glazed doughnut hole with chocolate frosting or peanut butter.

Roll the frosted top in crumbled toffee (look for it in the baking section of grocery stores), then add a small piece of a pretzel for the stem.

We could only find assorted doughnut holes.  The frosting won't stick very well to the powdered ones.  We just ate those plain.

The Results...
These were easy and fun to make.  This is a great fall snack/dessert that the kids can help with in the kitchen.  Sweet with a little crunch and a little chocolate, how could you not go 'nutty' over these!
